The operations that are required (e.g., detecting whether a door or window is open or closed) may be implemented with the use of hard wired sensors or they may be implemented with the use of wireless sensors which are also equipped with a wireless transmitter (e.g., infrared, radio frequency, etc.) to transmit the information concerning the current state of the door or window.Television remote controlSome televisions were previously manufactured with hard wired remote controls which plugged in to a receptacle or jack in the television whereas more modern televisions use wireless (generally infrared) remote control units.Cellular telephonesPerhaps the best known example of wireless technology is the cellular telephone. These instruments use radio waves to enable the operator to make phone calls from many locations world-wide. They can be used anywhere that there is a cellular telephone site to house the equipment that is required to transmit and receive the signal that is used to transfer both voice and data to and from these instruments. (For more information see mobile phones).Wireless communicationWireless is a term used to describe telecommunications in which electromagnetic waves (rather than some form of wire) carry the signal over part or the entire communication path. Common examples of wireless equipment in use today include:• Cellular phones and pagers: provide connectivity for portable and mobile applications, both personal and business.• Global Positioning System (GPS): allows drivers of cars and trucks, captains of boats and ships, and pilots of aircraft to ascertain their location anywhere on earth.• Cordless computer peripherals: the cordless mouse is a common example; keyboards and printers can also be linked to a computer via wireless.• Cordless telephone sets: these are limited-range devices, not to be confused with cell phones.• Satellite television: allows viewers in almost any location to select from hundreds of channels.Wireless networking is used to meet a variety of needs. Perhaps the most common use is to connect laptop users who travel from location to location. Another common use is for mobile networks that connect via satellite. A wireless transmission method is a logical choice to network a LAN segment that must frequently change locations. The following situations justify the use of wireless technology:• To span a distance beyond the capabilities of typical cabling,• To avoid obstacles such as physical structures, EMI, or RFI,• To provide a backup communications link in case of normal network failure,• To link portable or temporary workstations,• To overcome situations where normal cabling is difficult or financially impractical, or• To remotely connect mobile users or networks&lt;br /&gt;Posted by bhusal at &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="timestamp-link" title="permanent link" href="http://realitinfo.blogspot.com/2007/11/applications-of-wireless-technology.html" rel="bookmark"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8:12 PM&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="comment-link" onclick="" href="http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=4474255554597740658&amp;amp;postID=6280794417280997028"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;0 comments&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=4474255554597740658&amp;amp;postID=6280794417280997028"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;Friday, May 25, 2007&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a name="955827978323582543"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;font-size:130%;"&gt;Wireless InternetThe wireless Internet is defined by access to the&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9112410807305995796-4560951884508061104?l=earndollarsalman.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://earndollarsalman.blogspot.com/feeds/4560951884508061104/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=9112410807305995796&amp;postID=4560951884508061104' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9112410807305995796/posts/default/4560951884508061104'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9112410807305995796/posts/default/4560951884508061104'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://earndollarsalman.blogspot.com/2007/11/applications-of-wireless-technology.html' title='Applications of wireless technology'/><author><name>salman</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00250346898452441433</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112410807305995796.post-8202276205323436156</id><published>2007-11-07T21:55:00.000-08:00</published><updated>2007-11-14T10:56:40.586-08:00</updated><title type='text'>Wirelessinternet</title><content type='html'>&lt;a name="766958368035724342"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://realitinfo.blogspot.com/2007/11/ramon-magasaysay-award-for-2007-has.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ramon Magasaysay Award for 2007, has made us Nepalis proud&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ramon Magasaysay Award for 2007, has made us Nepalis proud&lt;br /&gt;Mahabir Pun, the recipient of the prestigious Ramon Magasaysay Award for 2007, has made us Nepalis proud. I salute him. I also look forward to the day when there will be a thousand more Mahabir Puns who will come up with such exemplary deeds.&lt;br /&gt;I had the good fortune of interacting with Pun last year when we were in a workshop making midterm review presentations on various projects funded under the World Bank assisted Poverty Alleviation Program. Pun was there to make a presentation on his wireless internet system, and I was there to make a presentation on Solar Tuki.&lt;br /&gt;While talking with him at that time, it became clear that the wireless internet system and network he was setting up in the villages in Myagdi was actually against the telecom laws in Nepal at that time. The parabolic antennas and other hardware needed for the wireless internet system had entered Nepal as accompanied luggage items of Pun's numerous Nepali and foreign well-wishers and volunteers. These items could not have entered Nepal legally as Pun did not have the license to either import the wireless hardware, or install and operate the wireless internet system. Unlike in other developed countries, the frequency for operating the wireless network was neither free for use nor available in the public domain. So Pun had&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://realitinfo.blogspot.com/2007/11/history.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HISTORY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;HistoryThe term "wireless" came into public use to refer to a radio receiver or transceiver (a dual purpose receiver and transmitter device), establishing its usage in the field of wireless telegraphy early on; now the term is used to describe modern wireless connections s to use the wireless network without proper authorisation.&lt;br /&gt;Pun, the brave visionary, was so highly motivated and driven to improve the lives of his village folks in Myagdi that he worked selflessly and tirelessly to establish internet access to the villages even though he knew that he was breaking the law. He got away without being punished probably because the arm of the law enforcement agency was either too short or did not feel it worth the trouble to reach out for him in Myagdi. If Pun had waited for the "proper" procedures to be set in place and for the full cooperation of the government and its agencies, he probably would still be waiting endlessly, and the villages in Myagdi would still be as isolated from the worldwide web and the global village.&lt;br /&gt;Posted by bhusal at &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="timestamp-link" title="permanent link" href="http://realitinfo.blogspot.com/2007/11/ramon-magasaysay-award-for-2007-has.html" rel="bookmark"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8:52 PM&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="comment-link" onclick="" href="http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=4474255554597740658&amp;amp;postID=766958368035724342"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;0 comments&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=4474255554597740658&amp;amp;postID=766958368035724342"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a name="5619129892442598877"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;uch as in cellular networks and wireless broadband Internet. It is also used in a general sense to refer to any type of operation that is implemented without the use of wires, such as "wireless remote control", "wireless energy transfer", etc. regardless of the specific technology (e.g., radio, infrared, ultrasonic, etc.) that is used to accomplish the operation.Early wireless workDavid E. Hughes, eight years before Hertz's experiments, induced electromagnetic waves in a signalling system. Hughes transmitted Morse code by an induction apparatus. In 1878, Hughes's induction transmission method utilized a "clockwork transmitter" to transmit signals. In 1885, T. A. Edison uses a vibrator magnet for induction transmission. In 1888, Edison deploys a system of signalling on the Lehigh Valley Railroad. In 1891, Edison attains the wireless patent for this method using inductance (U.S. Patent 465,971 ).In the history of wireless technology, the demonstration of the theory of electromagnetic waves by Heinrich Rudolf Hertz in 1888 was important.[3][4] The theory of electromagnetic waves were predicted from the research of James Clerk Maxwell and Michael Faraday. Hertz demonstrated that electromagnetic waves could be transmitted and caused to travel through space at straight lines and that they were able to be received by an experimental apparatus.[3][4] The experiments were not followed up by Hertz and the practical applications of the wireless communication and remote control technology would be implemented by Nikola Tesla.The electromagnetic spectrumLight, colors, AM and FM radio, and many popular electronic devices all work on the electromagnetic spectrum. In the US the frequencies that are available for use for communication are treated as a public resource and are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This determines which frequency ranges can be used for what purpose and by whom. In the absence of such control, chaos might result if, for example, airlines didn't have specific frequencies to work under and a ham radio operator was interfering with the pilot's ability to land an airplane. Wireless communication spans the spectrum from 9 kHz to 300 GHz.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9112410807305995796-8202276205323436156?l=earndollarsalman.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://earndollarsalman.blogspot.com/feeds/8202276205323436156/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=9112410807305995796&amp;postID=8202276205323436156' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9112410807305995796/posts/default/8202276205323436156'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9112410807305995796/posts/default/8202276205323436156'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://earndollarsalman.blogspot.com/2007/11/wirelessinternet.html' title='Wirelessinternet'/><author><name>salman</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/00250346898452441433</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112410807305995796.post-5293665303893877410</id><published>2007-10-22T10:18:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2007-11-14T11:08:45.354-08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='salman'/><title type='text'>Earn Dollars</title><content type='html'>&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Earn more dollars by online jobs u can do work on computers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Budget Plane That Leaks Poison Fuames&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxyysBCYrdI/AAAAAAAAP8k/tmcBK_Mzw9w/s1600-h/flybe.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Air crews are refusing to fly on a range of passenger jets which they claim leak poisonous fumes into the cabin.The boycott comes after two stewardesses collapsed on a flight and all seven crew members had to be taken to hospital. In another incident, staff had to use oxygen masks and abort the flight after 15 minutes on the same route, from Birmingham to Belfast.Staff at the budget airline Flybe says lives are being put at risk on its fleet of BAE 146s, the type of plane which is also used by the RAF's Royal Squadron to fly the Queen. There have been ten leaks of noxious fumes into cabins in the last 15 months, it is claimed.Poisonous fumes can potentially leak into the cabin of all planes because of the way air is filtered through the engines.As commercial flights cruise at high altitude where the air is thin, the cabin needs a supply of air to stay at the correct pressure. Some of the air sucked in by the engines is siphoned off to pressurize the cabin.But this so-called 'bleed air' can include toxic particles if it is contaminated with oil from the engine. Its manufacturer, the Golden Dragon Group, say the invention has no harmful side-effects because there is no smoke or tar.Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=488991&amp;amp;in_page_id=1770"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DailyMail&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Smoke" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Smoke&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Indoor" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Indoor&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/E-sig" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;E-sig&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Cigarette" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cigarette&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/cigarette-thats-legal-indoors.html&amp;amp;title=The" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 21:53 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/cigarette-thats-legal-indoors.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/cigarette-thats-legal-indoors.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/cigarette-thats-legal-indoors.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=3118288264849169632"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=3118288264849169632"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Save the World – Eat A Kangaroo marsupial?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxypURCYrbI/AAAAAAAAP8U/jkovSY321cA/s1600-h/kangaroo.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Aussies are being encouraged to eat greener and tuck into more of their native kangaroos marsupials to save the environment.Greenpeace believe that if more of Australia swapped red meat for the bouncing marsupials, land clearing could be reduced and methane gas emissions could be significantly lowered.Dr Mark Diesendorf said reducing beef consumption by 20 per cent and putting bouncing wildlife on the dinner plate instead would cut 15 megatonnes of greenhouses gases from the atmosphere by 2020."Kangaroos do not emit greenhouse gases. Not sure what's going on here...From The Sun:&lt;br /&gt;Proud Vince Mattingley showed off his Chinese writing tattoo spelling his name for 26 years – until someone pointed out if actually spelt Coca-Cola.Vince, 44, had the body art done after asking staff at his favourite Oriental restaurant to write his name in Chinese symbols.But a cheeky waiter drew the Coke words – and Vince had it etched on his chest.Vince – who now works as a tattoo artist – never knew he was a walking advert for more than a quarter of a century. It was only when he travelled to Thailand this year that a barman asked him why he had Coca-Cola written on his chest.Vince, of Watford, said: “I thought it was a joke then I found out that’s what it said. The restaurant staff must have had a good laugh about it.” He is now getting another Oriental tattoo to cover up the name of his favourite soft drink, left. He added: “I’m going to go with something Japanese this time.”Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article369654.ece"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Sun&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Tattoo" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tattoo&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; Wilfredo Vasquez, spokesman for the police's elite "Gaula" anti-kidnapping unit, said the dog's owners refused to discuss the case, but described them as a wealthy, retired couple. "They lived alone and loved the dog like it was a child," said Vasquez.The four-year-old purebred was taken hostage on Sept. 18, when kidnappers broke into the couple's house, subdued the dog with a tranquilizer and lugged it away in a bag, Vasquez said.Hours later, the captors called the couple to tell them that Aldo would be mutilated unless they forked over $350,000. They also received photos of the dog bound in chains, along with a tape recording of the warning, "This is how your dog cries at night."When the couple went to pay part of the ransom at a rendezvous point, six undercover agents — trained to rescue people in Colombia, one of the world's kidnapping capitals — were lying in wait.A shootout erupted after the exchange took place, wounding one of the agents and leading to the capture of two of the dog's kidnappers. Aldo was dropped off at the vet's office later the same day, showing signs of starvation, Vasquez said.Video: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c6b_1192998056"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LiveLeak&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/n/a/2007/10/20/international/i134415D05.DTL"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sfgate&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Dog" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dog&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Kidnapped" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Kidnapped&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Rescued" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Rescued&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Ransom" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ransom&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Labels: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/search/label/Animal" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Animal&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/kidnapped-dog-reunited-with-owners.html&amp;amp;title=Kidnapped" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 19:56 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/kidnapped-dog-reunited-with-owners.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/kidnapped-dog-reunited-with-owners.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/kidnapped-dog-reunited-with-owners.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=3515234832523097486"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=3515234832523097486"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cubicle Freakout&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxyM8RCYrXI/AAAAAAAAP70/ZvuZEL9EgHU/s1600-h/cubiclefreakout.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Frustrated with work lately? It is powered by a second-hand 133 horsepower Honda Civic car engine and kitted out with seats from an old Toyota saloon car. Its other parts come from the carcass of a Boeing 747 which crashed near Kano some years ago.For a four-seater it is a big aircraft, measuring twelve metres (39 feet) long, seven metres high by five wide. It has never attained an altitude of more than seven feet.He said he learned the rudiments of flying a helicopter from the Internet and first got the idea of building one from the films he watches on television.Two more pictures after the jump.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxyGOBCYrVI/AAAAAAAAP7k/OAWIn6DYu48/s1600-h/heli2.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxyGOBCYrWI/AAAAAAAAP7s/3e5a8StWxY0/s1600-h/heli3.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071021/lf_afp/nigeriahelicopteroffbeat_071021050644"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Yahoo News&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Helicopter" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Helicopter&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Mubarak+Muhammad+Abdullahi" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mubarak Muhammad Abdullahi&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/DIY" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DIY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Recycle" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Recycle&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Labels: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/search/label/Transportation" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Transportation&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/home-made-helicopters-hit-northern.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;More...&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/home-made-helicopters-hit-northern.html&amp;amp;title=Home-Made" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 19:13 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/home-made-helicopters-hit-northern.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/home-made-helicopters-hit-northern.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/home-made-helicopters-hit-northern.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=581181638905198361"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=581181638905198361"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Floating Island Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1684017764/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href="http://spiralisland.westkootenayunplugged.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;amp;task=section&amp;amp;id=1&amp;amp;Itemid=2"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Spiral Island&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; was a floating artificial island in a lagoon near Puerto Aventuras, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico south of Cancún. It was built by British eco-pioneer Richart (or "Rishi") Sowa beginning in 1998; he filled nets with empty discarded plastic bottles to support a structure of plywood and bamboo, on which he poured sand and planted numerous plants, including mangroves.The island sported a two-story house, a solar oven, a self-composting toilet, and three beaches. He used some 250,000 bottles for the 66ft (20 m) by 54 ft (16 m) structure. The mangroves were planted to help keep the island cool, and some of them rose up to 15 ft (5 m) high.It was destroyed by Hurricane Emily in 2005. In August 2007, Sowa announced that he will rebuild Spiral Island.&lt;br /&gt;Image Gallery: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spiralisland.westkootenayunplugged.com/index.php?option=com_xegallery&amp;amp;Itemid=28"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Spiral Island&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Video: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lolQ5pgp6XQ"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;YouTube&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_Island"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Wikipedia&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Spiral+Island" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Spiral Island&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; The aquarium has 12 coral reef sharks and at least three different kinds of stingrays. Animal rights groups say confining the wild animals is cruel and could put them in danger. In addition, the music at the club could disturb the sharks, which have extremely sensitive sensory systems.Video: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=8d4_1192950297"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LiveLeak&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.kvue.com/animals/stories/101807kvuenightclub-cb.1830c7b9b.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Kvue&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Nightclub" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Nightclub&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; However, not only was the medium unhurt, he even expressed his dissatisfaction in Hokkien, saying that his master had opened the lid too early. The 300 believers who witnessed the sight were amazed.The event (which took place in Ipoh) was officiated by Grandmaster Qingshui from Bahau. He was accompanied by two disciples – Xia Fuan and Xia Fulai. It was 52-year-old Xia Fuan who had sat inside the covered wok of boiling water, braving the scalding steam for 45 minutes.Qingshui said that this skill could be taught to outsiders and even girls. However, to date he has only taught it to the 2 brothers Xia Fuan and Xia Fulai.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/Rxv6rRCYrTI/AAAAAAAAP7U/xmpJguUgt74/s1600-h/cooked2.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.kooky.com.my/node/1264"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Kooky&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; via &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.uniquedaily.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;UniqueDaily&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Steam" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Steam&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Monkey+God" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Monkey God&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Wok" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Wok&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/man-steamed-alive-for-45-minutes.html&amp;amp;title=Man" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 09:11 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/man-steamed-alive-for-45-minutes.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/man-steamed-alive-for-45-minutes.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/man-steamed-alive-for-45-minutes.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=5966855025651865227"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=5966855025651865227"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;21 October, 2007&lt;br /&gt;More links for 21 Oct 2007&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxtnABCYrQI/AAAAAAAAP68/VECNsB-ke70/s1600-h/pic1.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A collection of images showing the interior of the first Airbus A380. He would have had to use a whole length of his arm," Okoth said, adding that the bottle inflicted "no damage at all" in the man's internal organs.Instead, Okoth said the man could have been assaulted by other people but that it was to embarrassing for him accept that.Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&amp;amp;click_id=68&amp;amp;art_id=nw20071019095504100C252221"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Iol&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Beer+Bottle" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Beer Bottle&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Colon" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Colon&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Beer" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Beer&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/beer-bottle-removed-from-mans-colon.html&amp;amp;title=Beer" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 21:01 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/beer-bottle-removed-from-mans-colon.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/beer-bottle-removed-from-mans-colon.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/beer-bottle-removed-from-mans-colon.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=2944423124651449084"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=2944423124651449084"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Homeowner Barely Misses Car Smashing Into His House&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxtJIhCYq_I/AAAAAAAAP48/4fwKc6Uj47Y/s1600-h/car.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Michael Del Gaudio couldn't have left for work at a better time.Minutes after the father of three pulled out of the driveway of his home in the 11200 block of Northwest Seventh Street on Friday, an errant driver smashed through Del Gaudio's backyard privacy fence and pool enclosure, went airborne over his hot tub and swimming pool, crashed into a set of glass sliders and plowed through Del Gaudio's house.The silver Suzuki Sidekick came to rest inside the front door. "If anyone was in the path of the vehicle, they would have definitely been killed," said police Sgt. Joe McHugh.Police said Antonia Yabut, 71, of Coral Springs, was eastbound on Atlantic Avenue at about 12:08 p.m. when he apparently hit the accelerator instead of his brake and wound up inside Del Gaudio's $450,000 four-bedroom, two-bathroom house.Yabut, who was cited for failure to use due care, was taken to Coral Springs Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries, McHugh said.Building inspectors declared the house unsafe because of the large amount of damage.Video after the jump.Image Gallery: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.nbc6.net/slideshow/news/14381277/detail.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Nbc6&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sfl-1019springscrash,0,1512966.story"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sun Sentinel&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Car" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Car&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Home" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Home&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;spans = document.getElementsByTagName('span');&lt;br /&gt;number = 0;&lt;br /&gt;for(i=0; i ');&lt;br /&gt;}&lt;br /&gt;memory = number;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Bookmark using any bookmark manager!" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=spluchster&amp;amp;url=http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/homeowner-barely-misses-car-smashing.html&amp;amp;title=Homeowner" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Posted by Spluch at 20:26 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="permalink" href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/homeowner-barely-misses-car-smashing.html"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Permalink&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/homeowner-barely-misses-car-smashing.html#comments"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comments&lt;br /&gt;var a = 0;document.write('('+a+')');&lt;br /&gt;(0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/10/homeowner-barely-misses-car-smashing.html#links"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Email Post" href="http://www.blogger.com/email-post.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=2569641382177087829"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Edit Post" style="BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none" href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=30226973&amp;amp;postID=2569641382177087829"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Mermaid Guitar&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ovJS1Em-6dg/RxtCchCYq-I/AAAAAAAAP40/5BpCtHRnpqc/s1600-h/mermaidGuitar.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Mermaid Guitar is a fully functioning and playable life size musical sculpture. By holding the sheet open and stepping to the side of the road, she showed how a woman walking alone could elude pursuers — by disguising herself as a vending machine.The wearer hides behind the sheet, printed with an actual-size photo of a vending machine. Ms. Tsukioka’s clothing is still in development, but she already has several versions, including one that unfolds from a kimono and a deluxe model with four sides for more complete camouflaging.She also designed the “manhole bag,” a purse that can hide valuables by unfolding to look like a sewer cover. Lay it on the street with your wallet inside, and unwitting thieves are supposed to walk right by.For children, she has a backpack that transforms into a Japanese-style fire hydrant, hiding the child.Ms. Tsukioka said her disguises could be a bit impractical, “especially when your hands are shaking.” Still, she said she hoped the designs or some variation of them could be marketed widely. So far, she said, she has sold about 20 vending-machine skirts for about $800 each, printing and sewing each by hand.More pictures including those of the fire hydrant and manhole bag camouflage after the jump.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662951025/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662952569/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662954349/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1663813984/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662957725/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662959645/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1663819668/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a title="Photo Sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/spluch/1662962261/"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Source: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/20/world/asia/20japan.html?em&amp;amp;ex=1193025600&amp;amp;en=35c022026819f87a&amp;amp;ei=5087%0A"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New York Times&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tags: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/Camouflage" rel="tag"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Camouflage&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;
